CWCOG (Central West Moreland Council of Governments) 

THE CENTRAL WESTMORELAND COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS is consisted of 27 Government entities as full members.  There are   275  Associate members.  The CWCOG has saved all members millions and millions of dollars on vehicle and equipment purchases alone since its inception of doing a “Piggyback contract”.  The CWCOG is a voluntary entity which has the largest “PIGGYBACK” Vehicle and equipment program in Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the most successful program in Pennsylvania. The CWCOG lawfully bids the Piggyback Vehicle and Equipment contract each year but has the option to award up to 2 additional years to “Carryover” the entire contract therefore holding pricing at the same or close to the same levels from the preceding original bid year. The CWCOG unlike any other “Piggyback” contract will save you money by our purchasing power. To purchase from the CWCOG Vehicle / Equipment contract, ANY Political subdivision needs to become an “Associate Member” simply by paying your annual fee.  The rest of the work is completed by the CWCOG and its awarding contractors. Once you pay your annual fee of $175*, you are eligible to purchase any equipment and as many vehicles as you wish.  You are also eligible to see and review the entire specifications “ON LINE” and build a selection of specified vehicles and send them directly to the awarding vendor via email from their web site.  You will be issued a specific password to do this. *The Annual fee is for the Associate membership which permits you to legally purchase from this contract as required by law as stated in Act 180 of 1972 INTERGOVERNMENTAL CO-OPERATION ACT
